Lorenz curve


Lorenz curves are very useful in economics as they can be used to show the income distribution of an area. As you can see, almost 50% of the population owns only 12% of the wealth while the the top 10% owns over 40% of the wealth. http://www.cmj.hr/1999/40/2/img/Mast11.gif
